The Lexicon: Jamais Vu
Jamais Vu
[zhämāvY′, -vē′, -vo̅o̅′]
The lesser known twin sister/opposite of Deja Vu. Seeing something that 'should' be familiar, and yet appears/feels to be brand new. It is possible that this is left out of common vernacular, because it's too spectacular, too authentic, not easily 'tongued.' It goes against our habitual patterns of holding and labeling experience. It appears dangerous to the time-bound mind, as it shows us a glimpse of the actual, boundless state of what it is to live wide awake. Treat yourself to an experiential contemplation of the opposite of Deja Vu. Spaceship launch, commence!
